What Is GLP-1 Therapy for Weight Loss?
GLP-1 medications are prescription medications that may be an option for adults who need additional support with weight management.
Depending on the medication and your individual health needs, GLP-1 therapy can help:
Regulate appetite
Improve feelings of fullness and satiety
Support healthier eating patterns
Complement nutrition, movement, and sustainable lifestyle changes
GLP-1 medications are most effective as part of a comprehensive medical weight management program rather than as a stand-alone solution.
At Vital Bloom Concierge Medical Care, we focus on helping you develop habits and strategies that support your overall health throughout treatment and beyond.

What Is Semaglutide
What Is Tirzepatide?
Semaglutide vs. Tirzepatide: Which Is Right for Me?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone involved in appetite, fullness, and blood sugar regulation. For appropriate patients, semaglutide may help reduce appetite and calorie intake as part of a medically supervised weight-management program.
For chronic weight management, semaglutide is available in FDA-approved products such as Wegovy for eligible patients. Other semaglutide products, such as Ozempic, have different FDA-approved indications.
Tirzepatide works on two hormone pathways, GIP and GLP-1. These pathways are involved in appetite regulation, food intake, and glucose control. For appropriate patients, tirzepatide may be considered as part of a medically supervised weight-management program.
Tirzepatide is the active medication in FDA-approved products including Zepbound for chronic weight management in eligible patients. Mounjaro contains tirzepatide but has different FDA-approved indications.
The best treatment is not the same for everyone. Your medical history, current medications, weight-management goals, previous treatment experience, potential risks, and other health factors should be reviewed before a medication is recommended.
At Vital Bloom, treatment decisions are individualized after an appropriate clinical assessment.
Prescription medications are not appropriate for everyone. Eligibility, treatment selection, benefits, risks, and alternatives are reviewed individually with a licensed clinician. Results vary.
